Qualification's
With over 30 years as a licensed therapist, I provide evidence-based individual,
couple and family therapy, as well as co-parent counseling, when couples are
restructuring their relationship due to separation or divorce. In addition,
I participate on an interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce team as a parenting coach and mental health neutral.
My clients work with me on a variety of personal goals, many of which
involve critical life transitions. We work together to develop their best selves,
to become a better intimate partner or parent, and to enhance connections and
communication within their relationships, school, workplace, and community.
As a trained Family Mediator and Collaborative Divorce Professional, much of my work focuses on assisting and coaching families as they
move through an array of challenging relationship transitions. With restructuring comes the opportunity to define what the word ‘divorce’
means for your family. This is a very personal decision, and one that will have long-lasting impact on your children as you navigate the
conflict and move toward healing. I am Certified by the CT Judicial Branch as a Family Matters Guardian Ad Litem, and have received training in Parent Coordination at the University of Baltimore Law School
Center for Families and Children. As co-founder of Changing Families LLC, I delivered the CT Judicial Branch-approved and mandated Parenting Education Program for 11 years. I am a professional member of the
American Counseling Association, on the executive board of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND), and also hold practitioner status in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts
(AFCC), an international association of judges, lawyers and mental health professionals focused on meeting the needs of children in custody situations.
